Team News: Matej Vydra makes Reading debut

Matej Vydra will make his debut for Reading in their Championship match against Ipswich Town at the Madejski Stadium.

Matej Vydra has been named in Reading's starting lineup for their Championship match against Ipswich Town at the Madejski Stadium.

The striker joined the Royals on loan from Watford on transfer deadline day, coming in for Hal Robson-Kanu, while Aaron Tshibola replaces Danny Williams, who is among the substitutes.

Meanwhile, Christophe Berra is fit enough to return in defence for the visitors, having missed the 3-2 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion last time out.

He is preferred to Josh Emmanuel, while David McGoldrick is recalled ahead of on-loan Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who drops to the bench.

Reading: Bond; Gunter, Obita, Ferdinand, McShane; Norwood, Quinn, Tshibola, Blackman; Sa, Vydra
Subs: Al-Habsi, Hector, Robson-Kanu, Piazon, Williams, John

Ipswich Town: Gerken; Chambers, Smith, Berra, Knudsen; Skuse, Douglas, Fraser, Sears; McGoldrick, Pitman
Subs: Bialkowski, Malarczyk, Parr, Coke, Maitland-Niles, Toure, Murphy
