Preview: Rangers vs. Raith Rovers

Sports Mole previews the Scottish Championship clash between Rangers and Raith Rovers.

Raith Rovers travel to Ibrox to face Rangers in the Scottish Championship this weekend probably fearing the worst following their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of the Gers in September.

Ally McCoist's side, who sit in second place in the table, will be keen to get a result to keep up the pressure on leaders Hearts, who have opened up a nine-point gap at the summit.

Raith defeated Rangers 1-0 in the Ramsdens Cup final last season, and a repeat of that result would see fourth-placed Rovers leapfrog their opponents in the table.

McCoist has a selection headache on his hands this weekend, with striker Kenny Miller pushing for a place in the starting XI at the expense of either Nicky Clark or Kris Boyd.

Marius Zaliukas faces a fitness test ahead of kickoff, and could be replaced by Darren McGregor in defence, in the event that he remains sidelined.
