Preview: Bordeaux vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Sports Mole previews the Ligue 1 encounter between Bordeaux and Paris Saint-Germain.

Paris Saint-Germain return to Ligue 1 action against Bordeaux on Sunday afternoon buoyed by their progress over Chelsea in the Champions League in midweek.

Despite playing for 89 minutes with 10 men, Laurent Blanc's charges outfought the Blues to run out victors on away goals to earn their place in the quarter-finals.

It often gets mentioned that the Les Rouge et Bleu have spent millions to assemble a world-class outfit, but Wednesday's performance was one of pure desire and determination as they extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 15 games.

Their last league defeat came back on January 10, and victory at the weekend could potentially see them return to the top of the standings ahead of Lyon.

Duo Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura remain on the sidelines for PSG, but top goalscorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be fresh after his early dismissal at Stamford Bridge.

Bordeaux welcome the defending Ligue 1 champions to Stade Chaban-Delmas having put together a run of seven matches without defeat.

The record is all the more impressive due to each game being closely fought and decided by no more than one goal, but boss Willy Sagnol will be keen to see his team become more prolific in the final third.

Les Girondins will be confident of securing a positive result against their opponents having lost just twice at home this season, with PSG only winning five times in 14 matches on the road.

Henri Saivet and Cheick Diabate miss the fixture through injury, but Abdou Traore and Isaac Kiese Thelin are pushing for inclusion in Sagnol's starting lineup.
