Team News: Two changes for Napoli against Palermo

Napoli make two changes to their side for the visit of Palermo in Serie A.

Napoli have made two changes to their side for tonight's visit of Palermo in Serie A.

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Vlad Chiriches is brought into defence in place of Kalidou Koulibaly, who drops to the substitutes' bench after the victory over Chievo at the weekend.

The other alteration is in midfield, where David Lopez is preferred to Brazilian Allan alongside Marek Hamsik and Jorginho.

Gonzalo Higuain and Lorenzo Insigne, who have scored 15 goals between them in all competitions this season, continue in attack, while Dries Mertens is fit enough only for a place as a substitute after missing the last two matches with a thigh injury.

For the visitors, who have won just one of their last seven, Giuseppe Iachini has named an unchanged side, meaning that Alberto Gilardino will continue in attack alongside Franco Vazquez.

Napoli: Reina; Albiol, Ghoulam, Hysaj, Chiriches; Jorginho, Hamsik, Lopez, Callejon; Higuain, Insigne
Subs: Rafael, Gabriel, Strinic, Henrique, Maggio, Chalobah, Allan, Valdifiori, Koulibaly, El Kaddouri, Mertens, Gabbiadini

Palermo: Sorrentino; Lazaar, Gonzalez, Andjelkovic, Rispoli; Struna, Hiljemark, Rigoni, Maresca; Gilardino, Vazquez
Subs: Colombi, Vitiello, Goldaniga, Daprela, El Kaoutari, Pezzella, Brugman, Chochev, Quaison, Jajalo, Trajkovski, La Gumina
