Manchester United reportedly allow England goalkeeper Dean Henderson to leave on loan for 18 months in January.

Manchester United have reportedly discussed a loan exit with goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

The Englishman is yet to feature in the Premier League for the Red Devils this term, leading to rumours linking him away from the club.

According to The Sun, the Old Trafford outfit have now become open to letting the 24-year-old leave on loan for 18 months in January, spanning the remainder of the 2021-22 season and the following campaign.

Henderson has been linked with a move to Newcastle United in recent weeks, following the successful takeover at St. James' Park, with the new hierarchy reportedly keen to add the goalkeeper in January.

After spending two years with Sheffield United, the 24-year-old arrived back at Old Trafford and earned 26 appearances for Manchester United last season while battling for the gloves with David de Gea, but he has now fallen behind the Spaniard in the pecking order.

Since dropping out of England's Euro 2020 squad due to a hip injury before contracting COVID-19 at the start of the season, the goalkeeper has made just one senior appearance for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side - starting between the sticks in a 1-0 EFL Cup defeat to West Ham United.
