How Leicester City could line up against Brighton & Hove Albion

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Leicester City could line up for their Premier League showdown with Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday night.

Premier League away day specialists Leicester City will be eyeing a rapid return to winning ways when they travel to Brighton & Hove Albion for Saturday's top-flight battle.

Visiting manager Brendan Rodgers is having to deal with a mini-injury crisis at present, but one silver lining from the midweek draw at Burnley was the return of Wesley Fofana from a long layoff, and the 20-year-old is in line to return to the first XI here.

The Foxes employed a 3-1-4-2 formation at Turf Moor with Jonny Evans, James Justin and Wes Morgan all out of action, so Rodgers could elect to bring Fofana in alongside Caglar Soyuncu and Daniel Amartey in front of Kasper Schmeichel, whose heroics in midweek did not go unnoticed.

Fofana's expected recall would allow Wilfred Ndidi to reprise his regular role in midfield as Hamza Choudhury - whose error led to Matej Vydra opening the scoring on Wednesday - is the most likely candidate to drop out at the Amex Stadium.

Injured midfield duo Dennis Praet and James Maddison should return within the next couple of weeks, but with this game likely to come too soon for both players, Youri Tielemans and Nampalys Mendy are in no danger of losing their places.

Ricardo Pereira and Timothy Castagne will continue to provide the width, and Kelechi Iheanacho will be out to prove that his exquisite volley against Burnley was no fluke as he spearheads the attack alongside Jamie Vardy.

Vardy has struggled to get back to his best since groin surgery and has only struck one goal in his last five league appearances, but he boasts eight contributions in his last six Premier League matches against Brighton, so Rodgers is expected to keep faith in the 34-year-old this weekend.

Leicester City possible starting lineup:
Schmeichel; Amartey, Soyuncu, Fofana; Ndidi; Pereira, Tielemans, Mendy, Castagne; Vardy, Iheanacho
