Half-Time Report: Rain hampers Championship's form sides, Leicester City and Middlesbrough

Rain hampers the first half of the King Power Stadium clash between two of the Championship's form sides as Leicester and Middlesbrough enter the break goalless.

Heavy rain and hailstones have hampered the clash of the Championship's two in-form sides as Leicester City and Middlesbrough played out a goalless first half at the King Power Stadium.

The wet surface proved to be dangerous in the early stages as Foxes defender Liam Moore, who was the subject of a failed offer from Fulham in midweek, slid to try to connect with a corner.

He ended up clattering into the Boro post and needed to be substituted in the ninth minute, with Marcin Wasilewski his replacement, and it was his Leicester defence that were the busier before the break.

Recalled striker Lukas Jutkiewicz had a golden opportunity after just three minutes but he screwed a 12-yard shot wide after being picked out by a precise cutback from Mustapha Carayol.

Emmanuel Ledesma, who scored the only goal in the win over Charlton Athletic last weekend, also had a sight of goal but his strike from Albert Adomah's cross was blocked by Wes Morgan.

Boro are unbeaten in half-a-dozen Championship matches while Leicester have won their last six and can move eight points clear at the top of the table with victory in the Midlands this afternoon.
