Inter Milan maintain 100% start at Catania

Argentine duo Rodrigo Palacio and Ricky Alvarez are both on target as Inter Milan make it two wins from two in Serie A with a 3-0 success at Catania.

Inter Milan coach Walter Mazzarri has continued an encouraging start to life with the Nerazzurri with a 3-0 win on the road at Catania in Serie A.

Mazzarri's side initially struggled to deal with Catania's pace in the final third, with Gonzalo Bergessio and Sebastian Leto spurning strong openings for the hosts.

Inter made them pay for those misses on 19 minutes when Rodrigo Palacio pounced at the near post to break the deadlock after strong work on the right from Jonathan.

Catania continued to enjoy possession in the advanced areas but were once again picked apart early in the second half, with Yuto Nagatomo on hand to head home Inter's second powerfully at the far post.

With confidence gained from their advantage Inter, took control in the closing stages, Ishak Belfodil having a goal disallowed for offside 10 minutes from time.

Just over a minute later Inter secured all three points thanks to a fine solo effort from Ricky Alvarez, who beat three players before slamming home to add gloss to the scoreline for the visitors.
