Liam Rosenier recovers from injury in time to start for Hull against Barnsley at the KC Stadium.

Liam Rosenior has shaken off a knock picked up in training to start for Hull City against Barnsley at the KC Stadium this afternoon.

The former Reading right-back had been considered a doubt, but has been passed fit to feature in a Tigers defence still missing the injured Jack Hobbs.

Jay Simpson and Sone Aluko continue their partnership in attack as Steve Bruce resists making any changes to the side that beat Bristol City 2-1 last weekend.

Visitors Barnsley make two alterations, with forward duo Marlon Harewood and Jacob Mellis giving way as manager Keith Hill reverts to a more defensive system.

Kelvin Etuhu is restored to play the lone striker role, with support from Tomas Cwyka, while Martin Cranie returns in defence.

Hull: Amos; Rosenior, Chester, Bruce, McShane; Elmohamady, Evans, Quinn, Koren; Aluko, Simpson

Barnsley: Steele; Golbourne, Foster, Wiseman, Stones, Cranie; Dawson, Done, Perkins, Cwyka; Etuhu
