Half-Time Report: Goalless at Craven Cottage

Fulham and Hull City both struggle to create chances in a goalless first half at Craven Cottage.

A first half between Fulham and Hull City with very few chances has ended goalless at Craven Cottage.

Fulham started brightly in front of their own supporters and were inches away from scoring a crucial early goal when a flowing passing move ended with Hugo Rodallega failing to add the finishing touch from only a few yards out.

The hosts were almost made to pay for their mistake just moments later when Nikica Jelavic jumped highest in the box to head an inviting Ahmed Elmohamady cross straight at David Stockdale.

A lack of attacking threat from the hosts caused frustration in the ground, with Hull looking the more relaxed of the two sides for long spells of the first half.

Hull pushed for a breakthrough late on in an uneventful first half, but the stalemate continued when Shane Long was correctly denied a penalty just before the break following a challenge from Fernando Amorebieta.
