Team News: Jesse Lingard makes first Derby County start

Jesse Lingard is handed his full debut for Derby County in tonight's Championship clash with Charlton Athletic, who have new signing Alou Diarra on the bench.

Derby County manager Steve McClaren has handed Jesse Lingard his full debut for the club in tonight's Championship clash with Charlton Athletic at the iPro Stadium.

The Manchester United loanee has made two sub appearances since his winter move, but finds himself in the starting lineup for the first time in one of two changes for the league leaders.

Ryan Shotton also comes into the XI, while Jake Buxton - who scored a brace in a 3-2 victory over Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend - and Simon Dawkins make way.

Charlton, meanwhile, make just the one change from their 3-0 win over Wigan Athletic on Friday as Lawrie Wilson replaces the injured Jordan Cousins.

Chris Eagles once again misses out on a start despite scoring off the bench on his debut last time out, and he is joined among the subs by new signing Alou Diarra.

Derby: Grant; Christie, Keogh, Shotton, Forsyth; Thorne, Hendrick, Hughes; Lingard, Ince, Bent
Subs: Roos, Bryson, Buxton, Dawkins, Ward, Thomas, Mascarell

Charlton: Henderson; Solly, Fox, Ben Haim, Johnson; Gudmundsson, Buyens, Wilson, Bulot; Vetokele, Watt
Subs: Dmitrovic, Gomez, Bikey-Amougou, Eagles, Harriott, Diarra, Lepoint
