Half-Time Report: Billy Kee opens up lead for Burton Albion

Billy Kee fires Burton Albion into a 1-0 half-time lead over Hartlepool United at the Pirelli Stadium this afternoon.

Billy Kee has fired Burton Albion into a 1-0 half-time lead over Hartlepool United at the Pirelli Stadium this afternoon.

The striker gave Burton the advantage on 27 minutes, latching on to an Ian Sharps cross to fire past goalkeeper Andy Rafferty at the back post.

The 23-year-old came within inches of doubling Albion's advantage shortly before the interval, but his 25-yard free kick sailed narrowly over the bar.

As it stands, Buurton lie fourth in the table while Hartlepool are in 19th place.
