Burnley come from 2-1 down to beat Peterborough United 5-2 with the help of a brace from Charlie Austin.

Charlie Austin netted a second-half brace as Burnley came from behind to beat Peterborough United 5-2 this afternoon.

Burnley went ahead early on through Chris McCann, but were behind after just 23 minutes as Peterborough took the lead with goals from Lee Tomlin and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

An own goal from Michael Bostwick meant that the two sides ended a frantic first half level at two goals apiece.

Eddie Howe's side turned the screw with 20 minutes to go and scored three goals to give the scoreline a resounding look.

Austin scored a brace in just six minutes, finishing from close range for his first then converting a penalty with ten minutes to play.

Junior Stalislas finally made the points safe with a neat finish just inside the area to give Burnley their second win of the season.
