Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Monday's La Liga clash with Girona.

Barcelona's injury situation is unchanged for Monday's La Liga clash against Girona, with four important players still unavailable for selection.

Ousmane Dembele and Pedri remain on the sidelines with hamstring issues, while Andreas Christensen is also missing with the calf problem that he suffered on international duty.

Frenkie de Jong is the closest player to returning to action, but a hamstring problem will again rule the Netherlands international out of this contest.

Barcelona boss Xavi is expected to resist the temptation to shuffle his pack following the disappointment of last week's 4-0 loss to Real Madrid in the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final.

However, there could be a change at left-back, with Jordi Alba potentially being brought in for a start.

Meanwhile, there might be a spot in the final third of the field for Ansu Fati, which would likely lead to Gavi dropping back into a midfield position.

Ferran Torres and Eric Garcia will also be in Xavi's thinking when it comes to possible starting roles, but the pair could ultimately be on the bench for the first whistle once again.

Barcelona possible starting lineup: Ter Stegen; Araujo, Kounde, Alonso, Alba; Roberto, Busquets, Gavi; Fati, Lewandowski, Raphinha
