Paul Lambert expects different Stoke City test

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is expecting a difficult test when his team host Stoke City this afternoon.

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has admitted that his side's visit of Stoke City this afternoon will be a "totally different" game to last week's win against Chelsea.

Mark Hughes's side travel to Villa Park this afternoon, and the Scot is expecting a difficult test from the Potters in a match that he feels his side's fans are expecting to win.

He told Sky Sports News: "It's a totally different game, and a totally different atmosphere. The crowd will come here expecting us to win, but it will be tough.

"You're never quite sure how many points you need but a win today will put us in a strong position. You don't want to down tools once you're safe, so we'll keep going right until the end of the season."
