Arsenal Wenger keen to restore Arsenal fans' hope

Arsene Wenger hopes that Arsenal can put on a show against West Brom that sends their fans home "full of hope" that they can win the Premier League next season.

Arsene Wenger has encouraged his Arsenal players to restore optimism of a Premier League title bid next term by finishing the season "on a high" tomorrow.

The Gunners have stuttered in the final weeks of the campaign, collecting six points from a possible 15 ahead of Sunday's visit of West Bromwich Albion in their last league game.

Wenger's side, who sit third in the table, had won 11 from 13 outings since the turn of the year before late April, prompting suggestions that a title tilt could be on the cards in the 2015-16 season.

"We have used our hiccups now at home and we we want to go on the final day finishing on a high and send the fans back home in peace ready for next season," he told BT Sport.

"It is also important in the Premiership that they go home full of hope."

Arsenal face Aston Villa in the final of the FA Cup next week as the North Londoners look to defend the trophy that they won last season.
