Wales captain Sam Warburton has hailed his side's 28-25 victory over England at the Rugby World Cup as one of the best results in the nation's history.
The odds appeared to be stacked against Warren Gatland's side at Twickenham when their injury woes mounted with three more players being forced off, leaving them with a makeshift backline.
However, the visitors rallied to score 10 unanswered points in the final eight minutes, and Warburton believes that the result is proof of the strength in depth of the Welsh squad.
When asked where the victory ranked in Welsh history, Warburton told Sports Mole: "It's definitely up there. It was an amazing win under the circumstances. England were in a similar situation in the Six Nations where they had injuries, came away from home and beat us, but we never doubted the strength in depth we've got in the squad.
"I think people outside, if we're being honest, thought that we wouldn't have the strength in depth to come to England and get such a great win. But we never doubt the guys who come off the bench because we know how hard they've worked and how well those individuals have prepared, and we know we've got a good squad. The guys we've got who have come off the bench are unbelievable, and that lifts us.
"Three guys come off injured and you're gutted for those guys [but] the guys who have come on - you're looking at Luke Charteris who's got over 50 caps, Justin Tipuric British Lion, Rhys Priestland who has done it already four years ago. It's great to see those guys coming on and I really do believe in the depth we've got in this squad, and I'm really proud of the effort the boys put in today."
Wales next face Fiji in Pool A before taking on Australia.
