Half-Time Report: MK Dons resist Wolverhampton Wanderers onslaught

A battling MK Dons side hold Wolverhampton Wanderers to a goalless draw at half time in their Championship clash.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have dominated much of the opening half of their Championship clash with MK Dons, but have failed to find a breakthrough against Karl Robinson's side.

Jordan Graham's tricky run was brought to an abrupt end on the edge of the MK Dons box inside the opening 10 minutes, and from the resulting free kick he almost picked out the waiting Danny Batth.

Josh Murphy then aimed a free kick of his own at the near post at the other end, which Carl Ikeme saw curl into the side netting, much to his relief.

Graham then delivered an enticing cross to James Henry at the near post, but he could only flick his effort narrowly wide of goal.

Wolves were growing in confidence, though, and should have been ahead midway through the half when Henry picked out Benik Afobe at the back post, only for the striker to fire straight at David Martin.

Afobe then returned the favour, teeing up Henry who hammered a left-footed shot just over the top on the half-hour mark, but it remained goalless at the break.
