Team News: Andre Ayew starts for West Ham United

Andre Ayew earns his first home start of the season as West Ham United host Stoke City.

Andre Ayew has earned his first home start of the season as West Ham United welcome Stoke City to the London Stadium this afternoon.

The club's record signing comes in for Edimilson Fernandes, who drops to the bench, in the middle of the park.

One other change sees James Collins back in the defence in place of Winston Reid, who is suspended for the clash.

Michail Antonio continues up front for the hosts, with attacking support from Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini.

Meanwhile, Potters manager Mark Hughes makes two alterations to the side that defeated Swansea City last time out, with Xherdan Shaqiri and Marko Arnautovic both missing the game due to suspected injuries.

As a result, Jonathan Walters and Ramadan Sobhi return to the lineup alongside Joe Allen as attacking support for lone striker Wilfried Bony.

Elsewhere, 17-year-old winger Thibaud Verlinden earns a place among the substitutes.
