Former England striker Ian Wright says that Alan Pardew will struggle to find a new club following his sacking by West Bromwich Albion.

Former England striker Ian Wright has claimed that Alan Pardew will struggle to find another job following his dismissal as West Bromwich Albion manager.

Wright, who played alongside Pardew at Crystal Palace, does not believe that clubs in the Premier League or the Championship would be willing to take a chance on the ousted Baggies coach due to his record at The Hawthorns.

"Which chairman's going to give him a job to keep them in the Premier League?" Wright told BBC Sport.

"Even if he went into the Championship, which chairman is going to say I want Alan to come in and keep us in here? He's a friend and it's sad to see the way it's gone but I don't see a route for him now."

Pardew was given his marching orders following a run of eight straight league defeats which has left the Baggies on the brink of relegation.
