Kevin Phillips fails a late fitness test and misses the trip to Watford, while Adrian Mariappa is also missing through injury.

Kevin Phillips misses this afternoon's trip to Vicarage Road after failing a late fitness test.

The striker is struggling with hip and ankle injuries, while Roman Bednar is still suffering from a knee problem, so Stephen Dobbie starts in up front.

There is some good news for Ian Holloway, with captain Barry Ferguson fit enough for a spot on the bench.

Adrian Mariappa misses out due to an ankle injury, but otherwise Watford are at full strength.

Watford: Kuszczak, Dickinson, Taylor, Doyley, Nosworthy, Eustace, Yeates, Murray, Hogg, Deeney, Iwelumo

Blackpool: Gilks, Eardley, Evatt, Baptiste, Harris, Southern, M Phillips, Angel, Dobbie, Taylor-Fletcher, Ince
