La Liga outfit Valencia allegedly move to appoint former Watford head coach Javi Gracia as their next manager.

Valencia have reportedly identified Javi Gracia as their priority target as they bid to appoint a new manager.

Despite having parted company with Albert Celades with six matches remaining, Valencia could only finish in ninth position in La Liga, resulting in the club missing out on European football.

With Voro only in charge on an interim basis, club officials are looking to secure the services of a new permanent boss as soon as possible.

According to Cadena Cope, former Watford boss Gracia is expected to be confirmed as the next Los Che manager in the coming days.

The 50-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by the Hornets in September, ending a run of 25 wins from 66 games in charge.

Gracia has not managed in La Liga since his spell at Malaga came to an end in 2016.
