Miroslav Djukic "very happy" with victory over Getafe

Miroslav Djukic says that Valencia's victory over Getafe has helped his team overcome Wednesday's defeat to Almeria.

Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic has said that today's 1-0 victory over Getafe has got his team back on track.

Los Che crumbled to a 2-1 defeat at home to Almeria on Wednesday, with the Serbian later blasting the performance as "clueless".

A first-half goal from Dorlan Pabon decided matters at Coliseum Alfonso Perez this evening, which sees Valencia draw within three points of the sixth-placed Azulones in La Liga.

"I'm very happy, it was a victory for effort and commitment," the 47-year-old told reporters.

"We had chances to score more than one and unfortunately didn't take them, but I think it was a deserved win.

"We look to be back on track. Let's go game by game and see what happens. At Valencia one victory isn't enough – you need a series of them."

Valencia host Real Valladolid at the Mestalla next Sunday.
