Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly monitoring the development of Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe ahead of a potential approach later in 2024.

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly hold an interest in signing Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe.

Head coach Ange Postecoglou is currently attempting to deliver a return to the Champions League for the North London outfit, who currently occupy fifth place in the Premier League standings.

That is despite the Greek-Australian having to deal with constant injury issues this campaign, with defence, midfield and attack all being hit.

As a result, Postecoglou has moved swiftly to acquire the services of Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner since the start of the January transfer window.

Dragusin has acted as a straight replacement for Eric Dier, who has departed for Bayern Munich, while Werner is regarded as a key versatile option when backup frontman Alejo Veliz faces a spell on the sidelines.

With Werner already showing his worth by chipping in with an assist against Manchester United on Sunday, it remains to be seen whether Spurs will re-enter the market for another attacker.

Nevertheless, although the likes of Manor Solomon and James Maddison are closing in on their respective returns from injury, it appears that Postecoglou and Spurs are contemplating other options.

According to football.london, Spurs have taken an interest in Rowe and have already had scouts watch his development.

During what has been an inconsistent season for Norwich, Rowe has been their star player, contributing 11 goals and two assists in the Championship.

Those numbers have played a role in keeping David Wagner in a job at Carrow Road, yet there are no guarantees that the 20-year-old will remain at Norwich for the rest of the season.

Possessing a contract until 2025, Rowe is expected to be sold in January or in the summer, with an extension likely reliant on Norwich earning promotion to the Premier League.

Back in October, it was claimed that Norwich would reject any January interest, but it is unclear whether the situation has changed with the club down in 11th spot, albeit just two points adrift of the playoffs.

Rowe has also made the step up to England Under-21s this season, further enhancing his reputation at a time when he is assumed to want to build on his previous 13 substitute outings in the Premier League as a teenager.
