Pochettino: 'Spurs are open to player exits'

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino says that players could still leave the club before the end of the summer transfer window.

Boss Mauricio Pochettino has said that he and Tottenham Hotspur are "open" to players leaving the club before the end of the month.

Spurs were the only Premier League side to fail to bring in any new faces before the beginning of the domestic campaign, but the likes of Danny Rose and Georges-Kevin N'Koudou have been linked with an exit from the North London outfit.

Paris Saint-Germain allegedly hold an interest in Rose and Mainz are said to be looking to put together a deal for N'Koudou, and Pochettino has refused to rule out any departures over the next two weeks.

At a press conference, the Argentine told reporters: "They are all part of the squad and the club, like I explained last week, every player has different goals, targets, motivation and reality.

"GK (Georges-Kevin) is part of the group, but like last season, he was on loan at Burnley, and maybe now, he's young, tries to play more, maybe he will have the possibility to play and be guaranteed to play more than here.

"We're working, the transfer window is still open in Europe and many things can happen. I don't believe there will be too much movement because we cannot sign, but different individual things can happen. We're open, I'm open, and if some players are not happy because they need to play or believe they can play more in another team, or need to change the environment or need a new challenge or motivation."

Pochettino currently has 27 first-team players at his disposal, not including Vincent Janssen whose number-nine short has been made vacant.
