Inter Milan are reportedly willing to offer Christian Eriksen more than double his current salary if he completes a move to San Siro during the January window.

Inter Milan are reportedly willing to double Christian Eriksen's wages if they are able to complete a deal for the Tottenham Hotspur playmaker this month.

Eriksen looks certain to leave North London this year having failed to agree terms on a contract extension, with his current deal expiring at the end of the season.

Inter are understood to be eager to sign the Denmark international in January rather than competing with a host of other clubs when he would be available for free in the summer, although they remain short of Tottenham's asking price.

However, The Mirror reports that the Italian giants are closer to agreeing personal terms with Eriksen having offered him a four-and-a-half-year deal worth £160,000 per week - double his £80,000 terms at Spurs.

Inter's proposal also reportedly includes big bonuses for winning trophies, reaching the Champions League and making enough appearances, meaning that the 27-year-old's end pay packet is likely to be more than twice what he currently earns.

Eriksen joined Spurs in 2013 and has made more than 300 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 69 goals.
