Harry Kane injury 'not as serious as first feared'

Harry Kane's ankle injury is allegedly not as serious as first feared with the Tottenham Hotspur forward likely to be back in action by the middle of February.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been handed a boost regarding the fitness of forward Harry Kane.

The England international suffered an injury to both ankles during Thursday's Premier League fixture with Liverpool, resulting in the frontman being withdrawn at half time.

Jose Mourinho suggested after the game that Kane could spend a number of weeks on the sidelines, a significant blow to the North London side with fixtures coming every few days.

However, The Telegraph claims that the 27-year-old may have recovered in time for the meeting with Manchester City on February 13.

Spurs are due to face Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion and Everton before making the trip to the Etihad Stadium.
