Half-Time Report: Crystal Palace holding Tottenham Hotspur at break

Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace and in-form Tottenham Hotspur enter the half-time break of their Premier League tie at Selhurst Park with the score locked at 0-0.

Alan Pardew's first 45 minutes of Premier League football in charge of Crystal Palace ended goalless in their encounter with Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park.

The visitors began on the front foot and dominated territory in the opening exchanges, with Moussa Dembele flashing a shot wide of the far post in the fourth minute.

Harry Kane then sent a tame effort at Julian Speroni before Christian Eriksen wasted a glorious opportunity as he sliced his six-yard effort wide of the near post.

At the other end, James McArthur sent a header wide of the upright as Palace slowly grew into the game.

Ten minutes before the break, Glenn Murray was presented with the best chance of the half as McArthur poked the ball through to his teammate inside the box, but Hugo Lloris was out quickly to deny him with a sprawling save.
