David Silva's late goal helps Spain to a 1-0 win over China at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

David Silva's late strike has earned Spain a 1-0 victory over China in their final warm-up game ahead of Euro 2012.

In truth, the hosts should have won by a far greater margin after a multitude of attempts at goal during the 90 minutes at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

China were not without their opportunites and could have taken the lead in the first half.

Iker Casillas was called into action on two occasions to deny Zheng Zhi breaking the deadlock.

Zhao Xuri also went close with a couple of long range efforts as China took to game to the hosts.

However, once Spain got going they started to dominate possession in typical fashion, carving China's defence to ribbons on a number of occasions.

Alvaro Negredo and Santiago Cazorla were both guilty of missing chances before being substituted for Chelsea duo Fernando Torres and Juan Mata.

Spain had to wait until six minutes from time to finally make their pressure count, when substitute Andres Iniesta cut back for David Silva to rifle into the net from inside the box.
