Celtic winger Scott Sinclair is said to be a £2m summer target for newly-promoted Sheffield United.

Sheffield United have reportedly earmarked Celtic winger Scott Sinclair as a transfer target following their return to the Premier League.

The 30-year-old has extensive experience in the top flight of English football, having turned out for six different clubs, including Aston Villa, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Since 2016 Sinclair has been north of the border with Celtic, during which time he has racked up 40 goals in 103 Scottish Premiership appearances, winning the league three times as well as three Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups.

The Blades are looking to strengthen in all areas of the pitch as they prepare for their first top-flight campaign in 13 years, and according to The Scottish Sun, manager Chris Wilder is prepared to meet Sinclair's £2m price tag and ward off rival interest from Championship side Middlesbrough.

Sinclair's contract had been due to expire at the end of this season, but last month the Hoops took up the option of a further year.
