Queens Park Rangers reportedly turn down a bid of £4m from Sheffield United for versatile midfielder Luke Freeman.

Sheffield United have reportedly been rejected with a £4m bid for Queens Park Rangers attacker Luke Freeman.

The Blades are looking to strengthen in all areas following their promotion back to the Premier League and are said to be keen on Freeman after his impressive form for the Rs last term.

The 27-year-old featured in all but three of his side's league games and contributed seven goals, while setting up six more, to be named the supporters' player of the season.

According to West London News, Chris Wilder's side have had their opening offer of £4m for the player promptly knocked back and have been told that they will need to bid "significantly more" if they are to prise him away from Loftus Road.

The former Arsenal and Bristol City player has racked up 112 appearances for QPR over the last three seasons and has two years remaining on his current contract.

Sheffield have yet to make their first signing of the summer but are chasing a number of targets, including Neal Maupay, Oli McBurnie, Bradley Dack, Emmanuel Adebayor and Jonathan Hogg.
