Unai Emery content with Sevilla point

Sevilla boss Unai Emery says that, all things considered, a point against Eibar on Saturday was not the worst result in the world.

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has said that while he was "proud" of his team's performance against Eibar on Sunday, the match did not bring the result that he was looking for.

Sevilla fell behind in the La Liga clash to an early Borja Baston effort, but Kevin Gameiro secured a share of the spoils for the Europa League winners.

"I'm proud of the team, although we couldn't find the game we wanted in the first half. The goal was to Eibar's credit and we had to remain patient against a tough opponent," Emery told reporters.

"We matured as the match went on and had chances to win, our equaliser aside. Our mentality in overcoming [going a goal down] was good. The result wasn't good, but it is what it is."

Sevilla return to Champions League action away to Manchester City on Wednesday evening.
