Alex Revell "looking forward" to Preston North End playoff clash

Alex Revell insists that Rotherham United can overcome Preston North End in the League One playoffs.

Rotherham United striker Alex Revell has insisted that his side can overcome Preston North End in their League One playoff semi-final encounter.

The Millers, who were promoted to the division last year, earned a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Deepdale.

"We know we are good enough to beat them," Revell told Sky Sports News. "We know they are a very good side and whoever gets through on Thursday is going to deserve it.

"Do we have a great deal to lose? This is our first season in League One, we have surprised everyone, I don't think many people would have expected us to go to Preston and get a draw.

"We have surprised people yet again and the longer that goes on the better chance we have of getting to Wembley. What we have got is a group of lads who are together and want to achieve for this football club and we can go into the game really looking forward to it."

Rotherham ended the campaign in fourth place, while opponents Preston finished one position below.
