Dani Ceballos puts pen to paper on a new four-year contract at Real Madrid, keeping him at the Bernabeu until 2027.

Dani Ceballos has become the latest player to sign a new contract at Real Madrid, putting pen to paper on a four-year extension at the club.

The 26-year-old has agreed terms that will keep him at the club until 2027, by which point he would have been a Madrid player for 10 years.

Ceballos has regularly been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital since joining in 2017, largely due to irregular first-team opportunities at the Bernabeu.

The Spain international spent two years out on loan at Arsenal, and made only 11 La Liga appearances - including just two starts - upon his return in 2021-22.

However, 2022-23 saw him make more appearances than any other single season in his career to date, turning out 46 times for Madrid across all competitions, including 30 times in La Liga.

Nineteen of those league games were starts - Ceballos's best tally at Real Madrid - and the club have now moved to tie him down for the next four years.

The midfielder has made 120 appearances for Madrid since joining, helping the club to win 11 trophies including two Champions Leagues and one La Liga title.

Ceballos's is the third contract extension Real Madrid have announced this week, with Toni Kroos and Nacho both penning one-year deals.

Los Blancos have also announced the big-money signing of Jude Bellingham, as well as deals to bring Brahim Diaz, Joselu and Fran Garcia to the club already this summer.

Madrid won the UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and Copa del Rey last season, but surrendered their La Liga and Champions League titles to Barcelona and Manchester City respectively.
