Preview: Elche vs. Real Madrid

Sports Mole look ahead to Real Madrid's trip to Elche as Carlo Ancelotti tries to make it six games unbeaten in La Liga.

Real Madrid will bid to maintain their unbeaten start to life under Carlo Ancelotti with a midweek fixture in La Liga this week, which takes them to Elche.

Los Blancos made it four wins from five matches at the weekend with a 4-1 success over Getafe, despite losing Gareth Bale just moments before kickoff with a muscle complaint.

Bale is a huge doubt to feature against Elche on Wednesday night, despite Ancelotti insisting that the problem is not serious.

With the Welshman struggling, Angel di Maria is likely to keep his place out wide, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema once again leading the line.

Luka Modric is fighting for a recall to the starting XI ahead of Asier Illarramendi or Sami Khedira after being rested against Getafe.

Elche have failed to win any of their first five games in La Liga, with Javi Marquez and Manu del Moral among the players hoping to force their way into the starting lineup.
