Half-Time Report: Stubborn Monaco frustrate Angel di Maria-less Paris Saint-Germain

Monaco frustrate Paris Saint-Germain as the Ligue 1 champions are forced to settle for a 0-0 half-time draw at Stade Louis II.

Paris Saint-Germain dominated the opening 45 minutes but AS Monaco held their own to earn a 0-0 half-time draw at Stade Louis II tonight.

With three successive Ligue 1 wins under their belt, the visitors started like a team determined to register a fourth as Les Parisiens dominated the opening stages.

First, fit-again Zlatan Ibrahimovic volleyed just wide of Danijel Subasic's post, before Lucas Moura latched on to Marco Verratti's through-ball but missed the one-on-one.

Despite it being his first game of the season, the towering Swedish striker ran amok and set up Edinson Cavani, whose effort was parried away by Subasic on 25 minutes.

Leonardo Jardim's side - who suffered a midweek Champions League exit - slowly but surely began to develop a foothold, but the half-time whistle came before they could build on their possession with chances.
