Nottingham Forest have recalled goalkeeper Dorus de Vries for the trip to Preston North End following a spell out with back injury.

Winger Ryan Mendes starts in midfield after returning from a groin strain, while Eric Lichaj returns at right-back having recovered from a knock.

Hosts Preston are unchanged from last weekend's 0-0 draw against Bolton Wanderers.

Captain Tom Clarke was assessed ahead of kickoff after missing the last three games with a shoulder injury, but will not play any part this evening.
