Porto crushed BATE Borisov in their opening Champions League group stage match this evening, beating the Belarusian champions 6-0 at the Estadio do Dragao.

Yacine Brahimi scored a hat-trick in under an hour, while Jackson Martinez, Adrian Lopez and Vincent Aboubakar were also among the goals.

The result has ensured that the two-time European champions lead Group H after the first round of games.

PORTO

Goal

Fabiano: The goalkeeper made a mistake that gave away a corner inside the opening couple of minutes, and looked shaky as BATE pushed for a late consolation goal, but he only had two saves to make all night and took them both well. (5/10)

Defence

Danilo: The defender had an impressive night in all areas of the pitch, making a good clearance during BATE's strong spell at the start of the match, supplied the cross that gave Jackson Martinez his goal and came close to adding a shot of his own late on. (8/10)

Bruno Martins Indi: The full-back was one of the few Porto players that played a purely defensive match, with many of his defensive colleague helping out up front. As a result, it was a pretty quiet evening for the Dutch international. (5/10)

Maicon: Maicon's main contribution came up front, as he forced a save from Chernik in the opening half-hour before firing just wide late on, with little for the defender to do at the back. (7/10)

Alex Sandro: The defender cost the hosts a chance in the first half with a poor cross, but made amends a few minutes later in the build-up to the second goal. Like Martins Indi, Sandro was one of the more defensive players, and had to make a couple of solid blocks late on. (6/10)

Midfield

Casemiro: The midfielder did not see a lot of action up front, but did come close to adding to the scoreline inside the final 15 minutes, having also had a shot deflected behind in the first half. (5/10)

Yacine Brahimi: The Algerian international cruised to a hat-trick with three stunning goals, and could have easily had more had he not been taken off with almost half an hour to go. The midfielder created a couple of chances as well in what was a superb performance. (9/10)

Hector Herrera: Compared to some of his teammates, Herrera was kept pretty quiet in the first half, but was more involved after the break before being taken off with 20 minutes to spare. (5/10)

Attack

Ricardo Quaresma: The only Portuguese player in the starting XI had a busy night, displaying his pace down both wings to set up several goal-scoring opportunities. However, the striker was on corner-taking duties, and sent several in short, while a late delivery when straight out the other side for a goal kick. (6/10)

Jackson Martinez: The forward got plenty of service early on as he tried to get the hosts on the scoresheet early on. While Brahimi's hat-trick will take the headline, the Colombian could have had three of his own, having hit the woodwork either side of his first-half headed goal. (8/10)

Adrian Lopez: Lopez was the quietest of the three strikers, but did manage to pop up in the right place at the right time to open his account for Porto, coolly lobbing the ball past Chernik for the fifth goal of the night. (6/10)

Substitutes

Evandro: The midfielder replaced Brahimi shortly after the Algerian completed his hat-trick, but failed to make as much of an impact as the man he replaced, putting in a relatively anonymous performance. (3/10)

Cristian Tello: A surprise omission from the starting lineup, Tello replaced Herrera for the final 20 minutes, and instantly added more pace to the attack, particularly down the left flank, and set up the final goal of the night. (7/10)

Vincent Aboubakar: The former Lorient striker came off the bench to replace Martinez, and was also on the scoresheet, rifling in from a Tello pass to add the final goal of the rout. (7/10)

Goal

Sergey Chernik: The BATE goalkeeper made a horrible error early on to let Brahimi in for the opening goal, but recovered well, making a string of superb saves to prevent Porto's winning margin from being even greater. Despite the scoreline, Chernik was probably BATE's best player this evening. (6/10)

Defence

Anri Khagush: The defender got forward a couple of times in the first half, but soon got pinned back as Porto started to dominate the match, and could do little to stop them getting their shots away. (3/10)

Yegor Filipenko: The full-back was the subject of a penalty appeal when Danilo took a tumble in the box, but was rightly cleared by the referee. The challenge was a rare defensive highlight for the visitors. (4/10)

Filip Mladenovic: Mladenovic has the tricky task of following Brahimi, and struggling to match the midfielder's work-rate and pace, but actually came closest to getting a goal back at the other end, having one effort punched away by Fabiano, before curling just wide in the final moments of the match. (5/10)

Denis Polyakov: Polyakov mainly tracked Martinez, and like Mladenovic struggled to halt his opponent's relentless charge towards the goal. He did, however, make one decent block, turning the ball behind for a corner to stop Martinez unleashing what would have been a shot from close range. (4/10)

Midfield

Dmitri Likhtarovich: The captain made a somewhat hot-headed start to the match, picking up a booking just seven minutes in before being subbed early in the second half, having had little impact on the match. (2/10)

Aliaksandr Volodko: The midfielder was responsible for getting the visitors forward inside the opening couple of minutes, but was unable to create much else for the visitors. (3/10)

Edgar Olekhnovich: The midfielder gave away a couple of free kicks in the first half, but also set up an early chance for the Belarus side at the start of the second half. (3/10)

Attack

Ilia Aleksievich: The visitors created few chances for the striker, but Aleksievich had one good opportunity early in the second half, but he was unable to convert the effort. (2/10)

Vitali Rodionov: The striker's only real contribution was winning a free kick shortly before half time, before being substituted with 20 minutes to go. (2/10)

Mikhail Gordejchuk: Gordejchuk showed some brilliant pace early in the first have as BATE tried to level from Brahimi's early strike, but he was denied by Fabiano, and hardly had a touch for the rest of the match. (3/10)

Substitutes

Andriy Yakovlev: Replacing the captain early in the second half, struggled to halt the relentless Porto attack, rarely seeing the ball in his 35-minute stint for the visitors. (2/10)

Aleksandr Karnitskiy: The midfielder tried to set up a couple of chances in the final 10 minutes, but his ball into the box was poor, throwing away a couple of decent moves by BATE. (3/10)

Nikolai Signevich: The young striker was brought on for a run-out in the final 20 minutes, but was unable to provide much of a contribution up front. (2/10)
