Rennes thrash Nantes

Rennes beat Nantes 3-0 in their Ligue 1 clash this afternoon.

Rennes have secured a 3-0 win from their away match against Nantes in Ligue 1 this afternoon.

Foued Kadir smacked a shot high and wide from a free kick as the visitors pushed for an early goal. Georges-Kevin Nkoudou Mbida then missed the target for the home side in an exciting opening.

The away team built on their impressive start with the opening goal after 16 minutes. Paul-Georges Ntep placed his shot into the top corner after receiving the ball from Cheikh M'Bengue.

Remi Gomis headed wide for the hosts just before half time, but Rennes extended their lead with an hour played when Anders Agnes Konradsen found the bottom corner with a composed finish.

Rennes were comfortable after that and grabbed a third when Ola Toivonen found space in the box to slot in.
