Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly one of three Premier League clubs who are set to rival Manchester United for the signature of Christian Eriksen this summer.

The 30-year-old playmaker is understood to have told current club Brentford that he intends to leave when his contract expires at the end of this month.

One report claims that Man United have offered a contract to Eriksen, with Erik ten Hag believed to be a huge admirer of the Denmark international, who trained with the reserves of Ten Hag's former club Ajax in January after recovering from a cardiac arrest on international duty at Euro 2020.

However, the Daily Mail reports that Eriksen's former club Tottenham, as well as Brentford and Everton, have also made contract with the player's representatives.

The report adds that a return to Spurs – where Eriksen recorded 69 goals and 90 assists in 304 appearances between 2013 and 2020 – would be his preference as he is keen to remain in London.

Eriksen has also had experience working under Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte when the pair were both at Serie A giants Inter Milan.

Eriksen has recently been questioned by the media about a potential move away from Brentford this summer, but he insists that he is in no rush to make a final decision on his future.
