Real Madrid open to selling Gareth Bale to sign Manchester United's David de Gea?

Real Madrid are reportedly willing to sell Gareth Bale to Manchester United providing that they are allowed to sign goalkeeper David de Gea.

Real Madrid have reportedly suggested that they are willing to sell Gareth Bale to Manchester United if they are able to complete the signing of goalkeeper David de Gea

Earlier this week, it was claimed that Zinedine Zidane was open to allowing Bale to leave the Bernabeu providing that the La Liga giants could bring in Kylian Mbappe, but it appears that another condition must be met if they are to hand an exit to the Welshman.

According to Don Balon, president Florentino Perez will not stand in Bale's way if they are able to agree upon the arrival of De Gea, whom Real have courted for a number of years.

Last month, United manager Jose Mourinho said that the Spanish stopper would definitely be staying in the North-West of England for at least another year after no deal was reached during the early part of the summer.

However, the Portuguese will have to change his stance if he wants to pursue the acquisition of Bale, who allegedly remains on United's wishlist as they continue to struggle to tempt Inter Milan into selling Ivan Perisic.

Bale is said to be happy with life in Spain, and eager to prove himself to Zidane after an injury-hit season where he was limited to just 19 appearances in the league.
