Manchester United reportedly slap a £30m price tag on the head of Jesse Lingard, who is thriving on loan at West Ham United.

Manchester United would reportedly allow Jesse Lingard to leave the club for a figure of £30m in the summer transfer window.

The England international was frozen out of the team by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during the first half of the 2020-21 campaign, but he has since found his feet at West Ham United during his loan spell.

A senior West Ham source recently claimed that the Hammers would do "whatever it takes" to sign Lingard permanently, with the attacker playing a key role in his side's charge for a Champions League place.

Now, The Mirror reports that United have slapped a £30m price tag on the head of the 28-year-old, although there is no option or obligation to buy included in the terms of his West Ham loan agreement.

The Red Devils triggered the one-year extension in Lingard's deal over the winter period, so his existing contract at Old Trafford is due to run out at the end of next season, but Solskjaer could very well opt to tie him down to fresh terms given his form at West Ham.

Lingard has scored six goals and set up four more in eight Premier League matches for the Hammers, who rose into the top four with a 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, during which Lingard scored a sublime solo effort before bagging an assist for Jarrod Bowen's goal.

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in the attacker.
