Liverpool reportedly add Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez, who has also been linked with Manchester United, to their list of possible transfer targets.

Liverpool have reportedly joined bitter rivals Manchester United in the race to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez.

The 29-year-old has once again been one of Wolves' standout performers in an impressive season, scoring 22 goals and creating 10 more across all competitions including 13 goals and six assists in the Premier League.

A number of the top-flight's biggest clubs have been credited with an interest in his services as a result, and the Birmingham Mail reports that Liverpool are the latest to be linked.

Jurgen Klopp's side are understood to be in the market for another forward this summer in order to bolster their strength in depth and provide more competition for Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

The Reds have been most heavily linked with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, but have now also added Jimenez to their list of possible targets.

The Mexican has recently insisted that he is currently happy at Wolves, but did admit that he would consider a move away if either Real Madrid or Barcelona came knocking.
