Borussia Dortmund reportedly tell in-demand Jadon Sancho that he is free to leave the club this summer, provided their British-record asking price is met.

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly told Jadon Sancho that he is free to leave the club this summer, but only if an English club launches a record bid for his services.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed another stellar campaign with the Bundesliga outfit, directly contributing to 30 goals in just 23 top-flight appearances.

Such form has seen him linked with almost every major club in Europe, and there is understood to be particular interest from the Premier League.

Manchester United and Chelsea are considered among the front-runners for his signature, and German outlet Bild reports that Dortmund are willing to let him leave if their asking price is met.

Dortmund are thought to be holding out for a bid in excess of £100m for a player considered to be one of the most valuable in world football, comfortably more than the current British record purchase of £89m, which Manchester United paid for Paul Pogba in 2016.

Both United and Chelsea's hopes of signing Sancho could be affected by the coronavirus pandemic, though, with Ed Woodward admitting that mega-money deals are unlikely in the next window.
