Fiorentina are reportedly contemplating making a bid for Manchester United midfielder Fred before the end of the European transfer window.
The 26-year-old joined the Red Devils for €59m (£53.6m) from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer, scoring one goal in 25 appearances in all competitions.
However, the Brazilian international is yet to feature for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this season.
Now, Calciomercato reports that Vincenzo Montella's Fiorentina are considering making a €30m (£27.2m) offer for the midfielder before September 2.
La Viola, who signed former Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery last week, lost their opening Serie A game 4-3 at home to Napoli on Saturday.
