Nabil Dirar: 'Radamel Falcao must regret Manchester United switch'

Nabil Dirar claims that Radamel Falcao will regret making his loan switch to Manchester United when he sees parent club AS Monaco participate in the Champions League quarter-finals.

AS Monaco winger Nabil Dirar has claimed that Radamel Falcao "must be kicking himself" for his loan move to Manchester United when he sees his parent club in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Colombia international opted to leave Monaco on loan last summer as he sought to play on a bigger stage, but has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford this season, scoring just four goals in 12 Premier League starts.

Monaco travel to Juventus this evening for the first leg of their Champions League last-eight tie, and Dirar believes that Falcao will be having second thoughts over his decision.

"I think Falcao must be kicking himself," he told ESPN.

"Here, he would have played and participated in the Champions League, but perhaps he needed more atmosphere. At Monaco, he didn't feel good."

Falcao joined Monaco from Atletico Madrid in 2013.
