Swansea City allegedly emerges as the frontrunners to secure a loan deal for Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster.

Swansea City have reportedly emerged as the favourites to sign Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster on loan in January.

Having been restricted to appearances in the EFL Cup, Brewster is expected to leave Anfield on a temporary basis at the beginning of 2020.

Premier League pair Crystal Palace and Aston Villa have previously been suggested as potential destinations for the England Under-21 international.

However, according to The Telegraph, Swansea could be in line to land the prospect, partly due to his relationship with Steve Cooper.

Brewster played under the recently-appointed Swans boss when England Under-17s won the World Cup in 2017.

Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday are also said to be monitoring the situation.
