Liverpool confirm that midfielder Emre Can will leave Anfield at the end of June, with defender Jon Flanagan also departing the Merseyside giants.

Liverpool have confirmed that midfielder Emre Can will leave Anfield at the end of June.

Throughout this season, reports have suggested that Can would choose to exit the Merseyside giants at the conclusion of his contract, with Juventus known to be interested in the Germany international.

Liverpool have now formally announced that the 24-year-old will end his time at the club after making 167 appearances in all competitions since 2014.

Long-serving defender Jon Flanagan will also move on this summer, with the full-back having struggled with injury and form during the past two seasons.

The Englishman made his debut in 2011 and went on to feature on 51 occasions for a club where he graduated through the academy setup.
