Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers: 'Mario Balotelli loan exit suits everyone'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists that Mario Balotelli's loan switch to AC Milan is a good move for everyone.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Mario Balotelli's loan move to AC Milan benefits everyone concerned.

The striker claimed that he was not suited to Rodgers's tactics after completing a switch to the Italian giants on Thursday.

Balotelli, who joined the Reds for £16m last summer, scored four goals in 28 appearances during his time at Anfield.

"I've always said I won't be speaking on any transfers, in or out, but it's a good move for Mario," Rodgers told reporters. "It suits both parties. He gets a season of playing football back in his homeland."

Liverpool return to Premier League action on Saturday when they host West Ham United.
