Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture at Crystal Palace.

Liverpool return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace.

Before the international break, Jurgen Klopp's side extended their advantage at the top of the standings to eight points courtesy of a 3-1 triumph over rivals Manchester City.

However, Klopp must contend with a number of selection issues before deciding on his squad for the trip to London at the weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for the Merseyside giants.

Jordan Henderson

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: November 23 (vs. Palace)

While Henderson returned to action to star against City, illness ruled the midfielder out of action for England. However, the extra recovery time could lead to the skipper being available for this game.

Mohamed Salah

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: November 23 (vs. Palace)

Salah is still dealing with an ankle problem which he sustained against Leicester City last month. While the winger has had the international break to rest the injury, the Egyptian remains a major doubt ahead of the clash with Palace.

Andrew Robertson

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: November 23 (vs. Palace)

Robertson revealed that he had been left with a swollen ankle after the win over Manchester City - an issue which ruled him out of international action with Scotland. The left-back is unlikely to feature at the weekend.

Joe Gomez

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: November 23 (vs. Palace)

Gomez missed out on a potential start with England last week after sustaining a knock to his knee. However, with the issue said to be minor, the defender could feature in Saturday's squad.

Xherdan Shaqiri

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: November 23 (vs. Palace)

Shaqiri has been absent for a number of weeks due to a calf injury. However, with Klopp having opted to take no risks with his fitness, the Switzerland international is in contention this weekend.

Joel Matip

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: November 23 (vs. Palace)

Having been sidelined with a knee injury since October 20, there have been conflicting reports regarding Matip's recovery time. However, the centre-back is unlikely to be available for this contest.

Nathaniel Clyne

Nathaniel Clyne is Liverpool's only long-term absentee, with a return not expected until next year after he suffered knee ligament damage in pre-season.
